Come dear...hold my hand
let's walk out through the grass
Whisper words of love
for our loving shall not pass
I love to hear you tell me
the way I make you feel
I also love to tell you
how you have helped me heal
I used to be so afraid
to let my feelings show
Afraid they would be stepped on
that was all I'd ever known
You walked into my world
filled with such a zest for life
You taught me I could trust myself
not live with all that strife
Now...my world has opened
I see true beauty everywhere
The reason I can see all this
is beacause you've shown you care
