Array ( [sid] => 23847 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => One Easter Sunday* [time] => 2003-09-26 05:05:00 [hometext] => Dedicated to all the Steve's out there in the world. [bodytext] => April is one of my favorite times of the year.
As the month grew closer, we as children would speculate........
Which one of us would be the one to find that "Special Golden Egg."

In anticipation of so much fun
We're awaiting the arrival of the "Master of Ceremonies."
It wouldn't be offically Easter, without the famous "Easter Bunny."

Lots of children are here this year, we can hardly wait,
All sizes, ages, ranging from two through eight.
There were quiet ones, loud ones, one who always asked questions,

For instance........"Who is the Easter Bunny, is he real?"
Where does he live, why does he carry colored eggs in a basket?
I thought Chickens only laid eggs!
I'm older than the rest of the children here......
Is someone pulling my leg?

Steve was the one with all the questions,
The younger children were listening, their poor little minds going in all directions.

My Mom came to our rescue.......just when Steve was about to..................
Steve saw the look in her eyes,
He walked off by himself, and began to pout.

After a while my Mom came to us and asked if we were ready,
Ready to start our Annual Hunt,
The Easter Bunny sat out in the middle of the our large green field,

Our eyes lit up like candles with a bright and happy glow,
As the Easter Bunny shouted to us, "Ready, Set, Go."
We found eggs in every color, pastel, metallic, rainbow, lots of speckled ones too.

The Special Golden Egg was out there, hiding in the tall green grass.
The one who finds the Golden Egg, the prize is five dollars,
The hunting was becoming so intense,
All at once we heard someone holler........
"I found it, I found the Golden Egg."
You just wouldn't believe, the one who found the Special Egg...........

Remember the one with all the questions......
Bingo.......inquisitive Steve.
The very one who didn't believe in the Easter Bunny,
Leads me to think that he was in it just for the money.

He reminds me of that t.v. show,
It really makes one stop and think.
Almost robbing the younger children of all their Holiday Joy,
I'd be willing to bet they will vote him out next year..........................
As the Easter Bunnys weakest link.

So long Steve!
