With you I tasted the fruits of love, the wondrous scent it secretes
At times sensuous, also bittersweet
Most of all heavenly
The times when our bodies melded into one, so perfectly
But now Im an incomplete half
When will you lead me to your path?
Your being is so much higher above me, your touch divine
Was it a figment of my imagination that you were ever mine?
You made my wildest dreams come true
But my castles in the air came crashing down, out of the blue
Nothing can soothe the pain, so intense
When I succumb, I lose all common sense
Because I dawned I can never be with you, at least for now, I am unable to feel
Although eternity passed, these wounds did not heal
When I lie awake at night, cold and broken
I can only whisper a prayer, anticipating the day when I will be reunited with youin heaven
