of the fiery bubbles and bobbing heads
singing songs of dread
seated round the feast
as if one
is more than one
and circumstances undone
simple -
simple as the minds that kill
One finger always beats two and the insane share the last laugh -
knowing true peace within rubber walls
Dining on feasts of the crazies souls
and cooking with bitter butter
and drinking silent whine
squeezed from the boils on the backs of the hands that feed
yet smart from the bites of the numb deaf and dumb [comments] => 5 [counter] => 288 [topic] => 41 [informant] => sharif [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => political )

I guess I simply don't understand....
I thought it was rather gross, but then I think that's how you intended it to be. So don't pay any attention to me!

I love the title and I do like the write as well... it's a great piece to sink your brain into, so to speak. Personally, I could have done without the boils - but - I suspect they are their for a reason.... they do seem to fit somehow.

I won't pretend to understand entirely (and am satisfied with that)... but... I went all over with this one - eventually coming to a vision of group therapy. And then... thinking that's entirely wrong.

Intrigued... and thinking this had, perhaps, the intended effect,
