You were enemy number one and now you're the star!
That day when at your feet layed the body of Steve.
How you sliced and burned all who did believe.

Well look at you now! A man out of Tarsus.
I barely believe; I thought you were heartless.
Here you stand almost killed by forty jews.
Yet you won't give up preaching your truths.

So how am I supposed to help you now?
Can you answer me prophet? Can you tell me how?
I'll leave you alone to say your piece.
Or you can run, as I will release.

How does that sound Paul? How does that sound?
Will you run or will you stay your ground?
Your going to stay and risk feathers and tar?
What a man you are Paul, what a man you are.

Paul said that if anyone had a reason to be egotistical it was him. He was a Hebrew of Hebrews, from the tribe of Benjamin. He was like the top scholar, but he considered it all loss for Christ's cause. I think that's astonishing that someone can have so much earthly power and give it all up to follow Christ. Just amazing. Your poem is awesome at getting that point across- Paul gave it all up for Christ.

Awesome poem, I loved it!
Love Joy and Peace,
JBP

Praise the Lord! I was hoping this was a poem about the apostle Paul. It gets the message of his life across- and what an inspiration and encouragement, but above all, what a glory to his Savior his life was!
