Array ( [sid] => 25462 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The ally [time] => 2003-10-21 07:26:27 [hometext] => an actual experiance [bodytext] => i leave the hustleof the maine road
leaving its saftey and light
as i begin my walk down the ally in the dead of night
i look down into the pitch dark
their is a safer way of doing this i should of followed the road but i dont want to be late home
i could risk my curfew or my life
i risk my life
i run down the first half of the ally worrying who could be listening to my heavy pants
running in this darkness
so scarred
in search of light
i swear ill leave earleir ill never do this again
i see the street light i pause underneath it
i look over my shoulder into this unknown darkness
not looking to long
once a long time ago i9 saw a grey ghostly figure here gliding
with that thought
i have a polsation to run
an erge
i run from the darkness behind me to the darkness in front
the second part of the ally
i run withn a new leval of energy
i never thought possible
i fear the echos pof my own leaps
i reach the end of the ally hardly breathing
walking down the streetv i breath fresh air
it makes my blood flow with greatfull relife
i get my breath back
then start the next ally [comments] => 1 [counter] => 156 [topic] => 43 [informant] => loopylou [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Daggone it! In this day and age you can never walk home alone! The experience is riveting and your poem is exasperating.
Angel always...godspeed...joni

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
