Array ( [sid] => 25924 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Uncle Chad [time] => 2003-10-28 01:48:36 [hometext] => This is a poem about my dearest friend Chad who passed away at a young age. [bodytext] => Laughter came natural
For you though it seemed,
The way you would frown
And try to look mean.
Your clothes covered in oil
From a long day at work,
Your name tag shown proudly
On that old dirty shirt.
A five minute shower
You were back to your norm,
Coming down the stairs
Your clean socks so worn.
When I told you the news
You slipped me that grin,
Congrats to my buddy
Than the lecture began.
I was so greatful
That you were my friend,
The way told stories
As if they'd never end.
A father is a role
That takes alot of time,
Buying those diapers
Spending your last dime.
Your words of advice
Will be by my side,
As I go on this journey
Its a long uphill ride.
If I could only see you
Through those big white clouds,
I'm sure you would be smiling
As my son cries aloud.
Though you never got to see him
He will always know,
That his Godfather named Chad
Will always love him so.
So with that much said
I must say goodbye,
To my friend who died early
Please remain by my side.

In loving memory of
