Array ( [sid] => 26556 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Second Thoughts [time] => 2003-11-06 00:20:11 [hometext] => This poem was written shortly after a suicide attempt. I got help for my depression so this is but a painful reminder of it. [bodytext] => When you cannot take it anymore
When that empty feeling starts to insue
Only one solution comes to mind
Suicide feels the only thing to do
You think of your future funeral with tears galore
As you sit in the empty tub with the blade in your hand
You stare at your wrist digging into it as hard as you can
Every moment floods you till your mind is sore
Tears stream down your cheeks as blood just pours
From your wrist while slicing the blade against it
You start to feel weaker and weaker
You begin to feel blood soaking your sneaker
Franticly, you fight to keep your eyes open
But they slowly close again and again
Your last ounce of strength is summoned
To open your eyes, to see your own blood
Pouring more than you ever saw
Tear streamed cheeks cover your clenching jaw
You close your eyes as you slowly die
Too late to turn back now
You realize as you cry... [comments] => 3 [counter] => 217 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Death_Fire530 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 2 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Wow, that is really good...makes you step back and look at your life...I've thought about just wishing I could die, but I could never go through with it....hopefully....this really gives me something to think about....cause you're right, you don't get second chances....keep it up!
