deep inside
this soul, i hide
a painful, empty hole
i suddenly drop
i feel it throb
i try to make it stop
it's out of my control
with every breath
feeling floser to death
there's nothing i can do
the pains dramatize
i feel my body rise
i slowly open my eyes
and i see you
a streaming flood
of holy blood
beaten with whips and chains
the thorns on your head
why wasn't it me instead?
i want to feel your pain

I have to say, this is a sensational work of writing. You brought such life to the words. Yes, Christ's sacrifice for us was great, wasn't it? Words, even poetic ones, cannot express it.....
