Forever your likeness, lies etched upon my heart
As through circumstance, tonight we lay apart
Time is a thief, that steals you from my arms
Ever conspiring, to deprive me of your charms
Wrenching my heart, from where it longs to be
Blinding my eyes, from what they yearn to see
Such radiant beauty, to relentlessly miss
Every tender caress, and each magical kiss
Although the hours rush by, so blissful yet fleeting
In my heart you shall remain, until our next meeting.
