As I chase the clouds across a green field,
I see many lost sheep scattered around.
I paused to find I am one who is lost too.
Who am I to counsel another’s pain?

Often I sing of how God feels us best,
That He is the one who can comfort us.
Yet how many times have I lost my faith,
Retreated in fear and run away?

Yet, it’s true that He never leaves us alone;
He has always provided us with more than enough.
Yet when I’m in distress, it’s hard to give praise,
Yet God’s grace is such that I can’t ignore.

I know He will never give me a challenge I can’t do,
Yet sometimes my eyes can’t reach the full horizon.
Often, I praise that God answers prayer in His way,
Yet how many times I can’t see His picture?

Sometimes I can’t see the child in me,
As though my heart is cast a spellbound by Satan.
Oh how I wish you would show me love,
Yet how many times I denied your love?

And yet other times when I thought I was helpless,
Did I come forward in prayers?
And did I try my best to change?
Oh how I lost my will to Satan.

Oh Lord when we repent, do we match with our moves?
Oh Lord hears me pray, and deliver me.
Oh Lord pardon me, please strengthen my faith.
As I chase the clouds across a green field,
May I see that I’m a sinner, who needs Your lead.
May I humble myself to be your sheep.

When I Look Into The Field

As I chase the clouds across a green field,

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
