sitting tranquill, looking upon your beauty
casting unlived dreams beneath your light,
sighing in weariness and enchanted wonder
what be the destiny of this, my life?

i relent, no more can this man endure
where arrows fly and death saith die,
yet ever sending forth spirit and purpose
faire moon so close to heaven's breath,

brief interlude of quiet rest whilst darkness
comes within my forest of calm respite,
to live a noble life of valor or succumb
bedimmed as blood flows making bodies lilly white.
