turning the pages while i open my mind
all the happy images unfirl before me
passers by trip over the glipses of my life
my children my wife
my dreams my strife
once griped by the love
that once carried me like a dove
lost in lust
tore at my sole
ate away with me like rust
like a mole inside
began to flow the hate
as the flood opened the gate
tears start to fall
and all around i hear those start to call
yelling the names of those they lost
and of all the lives that it cost
they did this and they did that
for what
an empty hole in the gut
the heart is open but my eyes are shut
and i still see what the eyes cannot
so much pain
my body has gain
on this sole like rain
it has stain
there is no doubt
i have but one way out
through the small hole of bitter hope
the loop hole in the rope
a torn page in the book
is the route that i took
to find you today
and to save the soul that was lost yesterday
you have i found
in a light that was dim
i am the burning fire that is within
carrying hope to the bitter end
i shut my mind and close the book
damp with sin
and open my eyes
to all the stares
and the cries. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 177 [topic] => 43 [informant] => crimsonghost [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 16 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )
