Every night
a bleeding snowflake
enters the graveyard
Hovering silent, never
disturbing the dead's
slumber
The children chase
after it
Trying to catch it
Just as they think
They have it
within their grasp
It shoots away,
leaving telltale signs
of crimson on
their fingertips
It orbits and arches
straight into
their chests
Their screams a
pleasant lullaby
for the ghosts
They don't hear
their own corpses
decorate the ground
Freaky flowers on
a grave
It has never
been caught
It will never
be seen by
these foolish
human eyes
Living on to feed
on the blood of
today
This embryo born
in the shadows
of yesterday.
