Array ( [sid] => 28200 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => unto himself [time] => 2003-11-29 11:13:15 [hometext] => i heard this loud and clear.... [bodytext] => desperate in cold understatement
simultaneously locked in and out
of this insufferable design
annihilation circling the drain again
living in the past
losing sight of the future
aimless love affairs
flirting with love
but never getting to keep it
darkness at the back of my eyes
clouds my vision, perhaps blind
faults and ambitions collide
multitude of sins kept in my pockets
like candy for the junky
who keeps trying to quit
and can't stop anything at all
the heavy sigh of defeat
escapes unwillingly
released like murky desires
someone might hear it and call
come and get me
save me from myself
i'm getting tired inside this shell
just plain worn out
and i feel like i'm ten thousand years old
teetering on the edge of extinction
is this how it feels to grow old?
history repeats itself
in vulgar attempts to stay young
unwinding the coils and springs
that keep me uptight
i just want to let go
be myself
