i see her making preperations for the day
im not sure what day it is
i just know it is a happy day for everyone
she smiles and says let the blessings be counted

so much food i cant eat it all whose comming
she says the whole family will be here
i frown a little whose family
she pours two cups of coffee and sits
she smiles and says let the blessings be counted

she gets up things begin to cook
oh it smell so good whose comming
the table is set the family arrives
some i remember some i do not
she smiles and says let the blessings be counted

everyone smiles at me i get big hugs
i look at the wonder all around
