[bodytext] => Oh Mum ....*warm smiles* The fireworks were incredible.Yes...I know I've seen them a million times, but tonight was different.I saw so much more than the sparks of colours splashing the evening sky.I looked at my children's faces and for a while watched the fireworks through their eyes.Seeing the different expressions, told all.I could see their little minds held in awe as their eyes sparkled brighter than the sky itself.
I looked at Kody and wondered what he must be thinking as he watched, eyes scanning the sky, quietly taking it all in.He is a real little man now.
Teagan's contagious laugh spread throughout the crowd and in between Mum,Mum,look!! and Dad,can I have a snow cone??.....lol,I thought I heard your laugh too.
Kyle is so grown now,not attending the carnival with us,but instead with his friends.I missed him this year not standing with us.Still,he hit me up for a twenty,so I suppose in some small way,I am of importance in his life lol.
Renae went to visit her other Nan in Sydney as she is not well.Renae...my shadow :)I was a little lost without her but I love her heart. Her Nan needed her more.
And Indianna....*sigh* Her innocence shining, making her even more beautiful. This was her second New Years, but this year she wasn't asleep ;)She had mixed emotions about the whole affair. One minute looking as though she was trying to work out what was going on,the next, burying her face into my chest, afraid of the noise. Her smiles came when she spotted her bottle in my bag lol. Then she just laid in my arms and looked on with tired eyes :)
All around us,people were sighing, as a spectacular show of colours unfolded before us.There was music playing and it could be faintly heard now and then, above the whizzing, hissing and whistling.
Standing there,I could smell roasted nuts and hotdogs. There was icecream and snowcones, showbags, sideshows and lots of rides.Teagan and Kody had a turn at the motorised jeeps.Kody drove and Teagan...well.....She just sat next to him, laughing at his efforts to master the steering lol.I took Indianna on a kiddies teacup and saucer ride.Round and round...round and round..LOL..She came out of it ok :) I,on the other hand ended up feeling like I was in the spin cycle of a washing machine.lol.I took Kody on the Cha Cha.LMAO...He was so freaked at first and then as the ride went along,he relaxed and enjoyed himself. To the point where he wanted to keep going on it :)Gotta love the Cha Cha ;)
After buying the kids some fairyfloss,we decided to head back home. The kids were really worn out and wanted bed.Michael started heading towards the car and there I was lagging behind, the only one whining to stay. lol.(kidding...sorta,gotta love that Cha Cha lol)
It has been a wonderful night. The highlight of the evening was watching your grandkids be just that!! Kids! All that was missing..was you :(
Wish you were here...for real.(((hugs)))
Love ya heaps
Miss ya more...

This is the sweetest, most touching thing I have read in days. Bless your heart.....I was thiunking at first - this is not a poem and then I realized I could see the fireworks in the sky, and the teacup and saucer ride, and I don't quitw get the ChaCha but that's okay - LOL I am left wondering about Gramma - is she just far away or resting in Heaven, in which case she saw every bit of this. Good work!
Thanks for sharing - I really enjoyed reading it!

There have been 14 NewYears without my Mum...the emptiness never filled, the pain never fades. But I know that I am never alone..for she walks with me every day.

As I read this I was sincerly touched. It would be wonderful to print this out, place in a beautiful frame and place in a focal point. I just found this incredibly moving.

Sharon... Wow. You really miss her and love your kids. I only hope to be half that good when I have kids of me own. If I could only be half that I would be an awesome parent.
