Crimson eyes that glow
An eerie stare that projects
From protruding fangs blood will flow
Like twigs he snaps their necks
Bloodlust interminable grows

Claws to shred, nails to rip
Immensly strong to crush every bone
Blood on his tongue, saliva drips
Garnet epitaph paints a tombstone
As redemption even further away will slip

Laying dormant for years
A blackened heart can still beat
Fiery eyes can still shed tears
For hatred is never complete

Burning out as the brightest star
The road that ends so soon
Hurting more than the deepest scar
Under the spell of the weeping moon
The stone facade can fall so far

Laying dormant for years
A blackened heart can still beat
Fiery eyes can still shed tears
For hatred is never complete

Within the lion dwells the cub
Ferocity will always fall deceased
Within the darkness is a sliver of light
Shining on the child within the beast

I felt so much pain flowing thru this poem. It was very very beautifully written and the little child I just want to hug...

BRAVO! BRAVO! TREMENDOUSLY WELL DONE! VS....WE SEE THIS ALL AROUND US!
And in this system of things...everyone wears a mask....for protection...or morass cover up! I've never heard anyone say so well, what you just said.....deep down every well....is water that runs deep. Inside almost everyone of us is a child with love to give, with love to keep!
So many are so battered....they don't want anyone to see.....their hurting souls leak!
Fantastic, splendid write.
Feelings just right!

I give up. This is insanely incredible, and I fight off the urge to fall over no more.

Falling over in .5 seconds,
-Eve.
