I was told the other day.
I had no response, just hung my head,
My livelihood stripped away.
I said to myself, maybe she’s right.
Maybe I should just move on.
Then I thought, what will happen
In times of trouble, with your protector gone?
Stop protecting you, I’m not sure if I can.
I don’t even think I want to.
I’ve felt it’s my responsibility,
For as long as I’ve known you.
Someone should protect you.
And keep you from the harms of life.
Defend your honor when necessary.
Protecting you from strife.
I have never felt it’s a burden.
So that someone will be me.
I will be your protector,
For all of eternity.
I’ll protect you from harsh words.
I’ll protect you in a fight.
I’ll protect your fragile emotions.
On guard, day and night.
I’ll be your knight, I’ll be your soldier,
I’ll be your fearless bodyguard.
When life’s too much to bare,
Or your problems get too hard.
Though I’m not there by your side,
Looking out for you, I always will be.
When you need someone to help,
You can always come to me.
I’m forever your protector.
This oath I swear to you.
Call on me when you’re in distress.
Is all you need to do.
I’m forever your protector.
This oath, to you, I swear.
I’ll hear your cries near of far.
And before you know it, I’ll be there.

I’m forever your protector.

I've read most of your work and it seems the love you have for this girl is so sincere and true. I should be so lucky to have someone love me half as much. I wish you the best of luck and I pray for you that one day she'll wake up and realize just how much you love her. Never give up on true love and it will find you. I hope your dream comes true for you. Keep writing your work is breath taking.
