Array ( [sid] => 30395 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => and his laughter is as thunder to the herd [time] => 2003-12-30 01:43:04 [hometext] => fragmentedly repetitive. i don't know where this came from, but here it is. [bodytext] => the one that they point at
the one that they teach their children to fear
to hate
the one that's just like them inside
but they never want to look deep enough to see

the one who seems different

not just like them anymore
they changed him
how long can you battle a wall of hate
how long can you hold out
how long before you become their monster
and find that what they see as evil
is not really evil at all

not just like them anymore
evolved
no longer human
flawless to the only eyes that matter

they call him a monster
but now he can see through their masks
he sees the true face that each one hides
if he were still human
he would shiver in fear
he would quake with disgust
at the oozing sores of sin
that cover their faces
at the tumors of falsity
that deform their bodies
at the glazed eyes of ignorance
that peer lazily from their skulls
but he is beyond
so he laughs at the irony

their fingers and hateful eyes fade away
they disappear
he can make them disappear

from where he stands
they are the freaks
they are the outcasts
they are the invisible ones

they are so weak
he could crush each one
with simple truths
but they don't deserve death
they don't deserve the easy way out
all that they deserve
is to live out each day
of their pointless lives
never feeling anything new
never thinking any new thoughts
just recycling each day
into a fading replica of the last

he watches this phantom society
from his home, from his mountain
and he laughs and laughs
and he laughs last
and his laughter is as thunder to the herd
they shiver in the cold pool of their ignorance
trapped inside their tiny cells
trapped within their little hells
never searching for a key
never breaking their circles
only taking up space and providing amusement
for those who have evolved

behind eyes that reflect the madness of the world
he finally feels peace
he finally feels at home

he always felt like he didn't belong
but now he sees that he was wrong
they are the ones that don't belong
they are the mistakes
they are the apes
but he'll let them stay anyway

because their bull***** makes him laugh
and his laughter is as thunder to the herd [comments] => 5 [counter] => 187 [topic] => 21 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

i think, when it comes from you and not pure emotion or adrenaline, you are at your very best
you never cease to amaze me with your talents
and even though i've come to the realization that i'll never understand, i at least have some insight

this was odd, but then again oddity can be good at times and this time it was brilliant
they shiver in the cold pool of their ignorance
I loved that line so much wow.

Preach on brother Cancer. This was deeply awesome and oh so true.
