Force upon me the smoke of hypocrisy
And watch me withdraw as I lose everything
My mind’s letting go

Leave me alone; consider me dead
My fingernails grow deep into my flesh
Hang up my soul on a nail on the wall
See it squirm, scream, cry and die

Green leaves tempt me with an air about them
My head throbs as it scans the walls
Spinning worlds before these eyes
Threatening me with confusion; distortion

Crying and bleeding into the past and present
Memories never end, never end
Tormenting futures worm their way inside me
And I beg and plead for it not to be so

This year I hope for everything to go right
Everything must go to plan
And as the blades approach
The pills are downed with blood

how did I miss this? This doesn't seem to 'welcoming' lol but I liked it nonetheless. I hope this year is better for you than the previous one was. I liked the imagery in this one very strong.
