I REMEMBER THE NIGHT
LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY,
AND FOR ONCE,
I DIDN’T KNOW JUST WHAT TO SAY. COULD THIS BE REAL,
COULD THIS BE POSSIBLY TRUE,
HOW COULD I BE PERPARED
FOR THE COMING OF YOU.
AND FROM THE DAY
MY THOUGHTS HAVE CHANGED,
MY ENTIRE LIFE
TO BE REARRANGED.
BUT AS THE SHOCK WORE OFF,
THE REALITY WAS CLEAR,
IT WOULD’NT BE LONG
TILL YOU WOULD BE HERE.
AND WITH EACH NEW DAY
I WATCH YOU GROW,
INSIDE THE WOMAN
THAT I LOVE SO.
TWELVE WEEKS IN,
YOUR HEARTBEAT I HEAR,
AMAZED, I COULD HEARDLY
BELIEVE MY EARS.
WHEN THE FIRST PICTURE OF YOU
APPEARED ON THE SCREEN,
IT CHANGED ME BEYOND
MY WILDEST DREAM.
THIS BLESSING FROM HEAVEN,
IN MY ARMS I’LL SOON HOLD.
TO BE A GREAT FATHER,
I PRAY GOD TO MOLD.
