She cowers away, realizing her life’s title is disgrace.

Bleeding nose and lip leave red stains on the floor.
Once he sees them, he comes back for more.

Screaming, running, she flees from her lover.
She scrambles into her car, praying for cover.

She searches for her keys, seeing a glimmer of hope.
Then the car door opens, he can’t seem to cope.

He douses her body with gasoline.
Only when she sees the match, does she start to scream.

Three months later, her body is covered with scars.
He awaits trial, locked behind bars.

Now the tears roll down her cheeks at night.
She prays for the courage to win the fight.

Very powerful, emtional write. That was awsome. I could even imagine her face, her fear, and expressions, while reading it. Very captivating. Keep them coming... A pleasure to read your writing.
