When true friends were forever, And war was all we feared
I’ll never forget the call, Hearing you were going away
Sitting speechless in the chair, Lost words couldn’t say
The call we got at 2am caused incapacitateded fear
Hearing your voice on the line, happily shedding tears
Waiting in the rain for hours, Crying at the first site of your face
Waiting for your to see your god-son, Holding your niece in place
she screamed over and over your name, Never willing to forget
Holding to memories for months and months yet so upset
So how do I tell her now, That you are gone for good
Not for a cause, for life, for us, But cause you thought you should
How do I tell the people whose lives were built around
The strength and truth in you we believed we had found
How do you go on and on each and every day
Knowing you’ve left your best friend forever without the ball to say
Goodbye, I’m gone, Adios to you I’m not strong enough to stay [comments] => 3 [counter] => 179 [topic] => 23 [informant] => irshprnss [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FamilyPoems )

Oh my god! I'm totally speechless! *regain ability to speak/write* This Poem is one of the best I've seen. I feel like I want to cry. This one transfers strong emotions. It's very sad and the ending is really bitter. The wording is perfect. I'm literaly stunned. WoW is all i'm left to say....

This poem was devastating amazing....I could understand it all, but the ending. Please explain what you mean by Not Strong Enough to Stay....I'd really appreciate that!
Heartbreaking, and so frustating...death is such an enemy to mankind, and it doesn't matter how or when he died...it's all the same...he is gone you know longer can call his name.
Written with much emotion, but even more so, total loss, and depth...I'm so very sorry
I wish I could help you or take some of your pain away.
Love and hugs,
Lovingcritters
ConSue
