The ones who really speak out in our time of need
We harness all our feeling the happiness and pain
We put ourselves out there only to be slain
Slain by those who don’t have our strength
Those with out painted faces couldn’t go the length
We have feelings and those feelings make us grow
But when do we finally stop feeling, when do we let go?
When can we become weak like the rest
When can we look back and love what we left
When do the tears stop burning our cheeks
When do we stop living by hours, and live by weeks
When do our words stop flowing in vain
When can we start letting go of the pain
At what point do the words bring relief
Without our feeling we wouldn’t be poets in need [comments] => 4 [counter] => 147 [topic] => 43 [informant] => irshprnss [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Poets in need...poets indeed. Very thoughful and insightful work. I guess its true poets are mostly poets because or feelings.. whether free flow or repressed. I am that at least.. my poetry being my repressed emotions. You have really hit the spot making me feel and really have thoughts. I was reading the posts the other day on a forum topic about insecurity..guess what? almost every poet that responded gave out an answer as being insecure in some ways...go figure!..poet indeed an insecure breed... maybe you are right too..herein we should perhaps pack up our emotions and move on living like the rest...I dunno but I kinda like writing poetry.. anyway just my ramblings...and great insightful work!
