Don't know why
I feel like crying tonight
My heart feels so heavy
Each beat
Sounds like an exhausted drummer
Desperate for a break
So choked up with emotions
Overflowing
From where I do not know
Eyes glistening with sorrow
Wearily
Trickling down my cheeks
Handicapped
In ascertaining why
Such sentiments surfaced tonight
Contented to have
Sad songs
Playing on my stereo
Over and over again
No other desires
Just wanting
Melancholy to accompany me
In my solitary
And perhaps
A drunken candle flame
For me stare at
Whilst I numb with misery
