They say: “Time heals” - and are so very wrong,
They counsel: “Do not grieve and mourn so long!”
But are so wrong, how very wrong they are,
False comfort’s speech can not arrest and bar
The pain endured - this knowing : “Never More”
Will my beloved enter through this door!

And yet, he enters through it and extends
And stretches out to me his shielding hands,-
An overwhelming feeling --he is here!
With all his being and is drawing near
Transcending time and space to comfort me,
Lo! - Time is unknown in eternity

Time heals - they say,- but who would ever wish
A healing that would so impoverish
And rob the soul of hallowed marks of pain,
Let Love Love's bruises, wounds and scars retain,
Feel longing for the loved one deep and great
That with hot tears at times the pillows sate

Renounce not the stigmata that pertain
To loss endured, together with its pain,
Don’t heal from loving, rather much prefer
The mark imprinted on the soul and bear
And wear this mark like a medallion
By deprivation and bereavement won.

Time has no substance, thus it cannot heal,
Time has no pity, and it cannot feel,
Nor is there healing in mere Memory,
Which only adds to pain's intensity.
But share your pain with Jesus our Lord-
For He alone can speak the healing word.

Oh so sad to read! Very religious as well! Wow beautiful pic! Very vivid description, makes you feel your pain! Hope you're better though death is a very painful thing, nothing can fill the emptiness left.
great write, very touching

I liked this one. Very powerful words here. Very nice write. I would say it almost has a bitter tone to it over a sad one...
