You struck me like a hurricane
On a calm summer's day.
You were a burst of color
In my sky full of gray.
As we tumbled and twisted
Time sailed away.
You turned my life around
On that Night and that Day.
You loved me for a moment,
Then drove me insane.
Our music played on
Through an undertone of rain.
You stared deep into my soul.
I had to look away.
Soulmates collided
On that Night and that Day.
Laughing, hugs and smiles,
I begged you for more.
Soon you would leave me.
The rain began to pour.
Your love renewed my life
In an unexpected way.
I will always remember
That Night and that Day.
