"I love you" such simple words to say
But a lie if you speak without thought
Such a waste if none of it is true
But for some reason I never fought
You're mad because I don't respond
Don't return your silly "love you's"
I'm sorry if you hate me now
But it's part of my search for truth
It's too soon to be too serious
Why can't we have fun like we did before
Until love came and destroyed it all
Because you always want there to be more
Have you ever thought I'm not yet ready
It's not time to open my eyes and see
I'm not prepared to fall in love right now
But I'd love it if you'd love me
