the growling belongs to you
my pet, so angry and insidious
mumbling like you always do
I can see you clearly scowling
the words run off your tongue
drooling down your chest
and I long to lick them
but you do not love me best
the cold night surrounds me
so I curl up in my cozy bed
thinking of ways to warm you
while I let you play inside my head
I've hammered this one half to death
dragged love through the muddy ditch
one of you and so many of me
each and every one a *****
your scorn is truly not deserved
I'll not take the total blame
you derserve just what you get
for your irreverent little game
