Array ( [sid] => 3346 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Brotherly Love [time] => 2002-09-04 06:44:31 [hometext] => My sister actually wrote this for me, as a thank you when I finally realized how much damage my father had done tying her up and molesting her daily, and I finally broke free of all the beaten in fear, and turned him over to the cops. I am glad I finally woke up, and I am thankful that my sister and I are so close now. Thank you, Kristy, for this beautiful poem, and thank you for the permission to post it here.
(she wrote this when she was 17, and I was 18) [bodytext] => Many times I told you
how he tortured me,
Blinded by the pain he caused
you, yearning to be free.
Imprisoned soul still burning,
Remembering the lies,
The distance of your being , you
couldn't hear my cries.
The pain inside still spinning,
tears I hold inside.
A journey to find insanity,
I wish you were by my side.
My love for you grows deeper,
each time I talk to you.
Death had almost took me,
I'd rather be with you.
A struggle to find peace,
within my crowded mind.
The truth of what had happened,
is what I hope to find.
A glimpse of the horizon,
remembering your sweet face.
Your words of wisdom haunt me,
no more dreams to chase.
Collected thoughts I gathered,
way beyond my poetry.
My chest still burns of hatred,
begging to be free.
Now understand my wisdom,
virgin eyes of love:
Despite the painful memories,
we'll always pull above.

Jason, this is so touching....but so beautifully written. Thank God it turned out this way..and that your sister is able to live her life now..(I imagine it will not be easy ever, but I can tell she is a strong person, and with you by her side, I'm sure she will have a happy life... All thew best to you and Kristy..
Hugs,
Jenni

experiences like this are hard to go through, i know from experience. but she is extremely lucky to have u by her side, something i lacked. i am glad things have worked out. and i hope u continue to be there, because the pain will NEVER go away, no matter how much time has passed. please remember this and continue to support eachother, it is the only way to survive things like this. peace and love.
