[title] => Broken Leaf
[time] => 2004-02-04 03:30:38
[hometext] => watching leaves blow in the autumn wind
[bodytext] => A leaf, blows in the wind. someone picks it up caresses its softness admires its color and smiles then just lets it go. It blow this way and that. Alone, it makes its way. getting torn by the harsh wind as it is carried along turning this way and that, hitting against things being torn even more. Soon nothing is left but the stem, and a few fragile pieces, which crumble quickly when carelessly touched, or stepped upon. Finally a pair of slender fingers picks up a scoop of sand, sifting. Noticing the bits of broken leaf. She sheds a tear. Recognizing her own shattered heart. She places the small pieces in her locket, there next to her own shattered heart. giving it a resting place. That’s the least every broken heart should have. ©littletink2004 [comments] => 3 [counter] => 167 [topic] => 27 [informant] => LittleTink [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )
