Array ( [sid] => 34564 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Sacrifice [time] => 2004-02-10 23:42:38 [hometext] => sacrificial virgin?? I don't think this poem is done yet..... I want to add more, but I'd like some feedback first. [bodytext] => One star here, another there
A silver glitter in the air
A steel knife, a marble stand
Come hither now, to hold my hand

Who ever thought that stone would be this cold?
Just listen to the graveyard tales of old
The spirits of a time long past, when ghosts were running free
Now as I lay here dying, will you stop and think of me?

Beneath the fullness of the moon
A sacred loop of nightly blooms
They gather here, to cut me down
A virgin in a wedding gown

Who ever thought that stone would be this cold?
Just listen to the fairytales of old
When princesses were rescued, and the dragons left to bleed
Now as I lay here dying, will you stop and think of me?

In hopes of rain for thirsty skies
They find a girl to sacrifice
Well here I am, all bound in chains
Come hither, prince, I'm here to save

Who ever thought that stone would be this cold?
Just listen to the melodies of old
Bewailing the lover who's been lost upon the sea,
Now as I lay here dying, will you stop and think of me?

I do not fear eternity
Will anyone remember me?
A flash of steel, a marble stand
Come hither, now! Please, hold my hand...

The spirits of a time long past, when ghosts were running free
When princesses were rescued, and the dragons left to bleed
Bewailing the lover who's been lost upon the sea
Now as I lay here dying, will you stop and think of -

Who ever thought that death would be this warm?
Ah, sweet revenge, a scarlet rose of thorns
I'm off to see the dragon god these murderers believed...
And then I'll haunt that bastard prince who should have set me free!
