Tears of Love

Somewhere in heaven
There's an Angel who cries
His love earthly bound
No longer she flies

Gone are her memories
Of their Angelic love
She is placed in a life
With no memory of above

Now it is custom in heaven
No Angel should cry
For eternals the view
To know the reasons why

But ever so often
A love is so strong
The separation of lovers
Can be nothing but wrong

Such was the love
Of two Angels of light
A love so beautiful
So perfect, so right

From the beginning of time
Until she went away
These Two Angels in heaven
Loved every day

Until it was time
For her duty in life
To help a wayward soul
As a kind and loving wife

Now the angel sits alone
Heart broken in two
Without her love
He knows not what to do

Then one day he thought
"My hope's growing weak"
"Into the world I will go"
"My true love to seek"

So taking the form of a dove
To the earth he did fly
No one should notice
A dove with a tear in its eye

There he saw his Angel
In love with another
Heart breaking in two
His pain he tried to smother

He could not help but cry
The pain was so strong
And as the tears fell
He sang a mournful song

" How can you not remember"
" The way we use to be"
"You swore you'd never forget"
" Always my heart you would see"

Hearing something familiar
In the heart of the dove
And the sound of his voice
Reminding her of love

She turned to look closer
He mounted to the sky
As she watched him fade away
There fell a tear from her eye
