Bleary skies and teary sighs fall from restoration
The icy blue can neither aid, nor harm this sullied dreamer
None can harm him, none can see,
None can steal his donwcast tale

Yet in his eyes the fluid gem will blow away the stains
The murky sky and lucid fog can wash from truth the pain
The blades below have never once looked greener
Yet never once have violets seemed so frail

Damp knees shiver against the dew
To lower discolored windows of the soul
Which of two mirages was unreal--
Which was visual echoes of the whole?

(----Splash----)

Beholding fragile ripples, he wished the hours passed quicker
When life’s a singsong reflection and all the world flickers
As all the scenes reform again, and water comes to calm,
When minds were free and wills unchained
There once was something to be gained--

--And night was but a dreamy moonlit stroll 'tween sandy palms-- [comments] => 3 [counter] => 218 [topic] => 60 [informant] => EternitysLyre [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => insomniac )

Well i do believe i've found my opposite. Good. Yin is nothing without yang. I refer to Insanity's Requiem of course. No i swear i didn't steal your name. anyway. This was a good write. It was filled with much livelyness. I don't belive i've read your work before but i'm bad with names. This is the work of a sesoned writter. If your newish then your write well beyond your years. Good Job!

Surely this one must have just come to you. Beautiful images. Especially love the lines about the grass and violets.
