In the deepest shadows of the glimmering glow
We are your future of tomorrow
Why must we endure these countless acts of sorrow?
We are the youth, we are the condemned
The battle scars we have received; only God can mend
How many shots of fire must it take,
To realize this harmful punishment isn't a mistake?
The outcasts slowly drift to the outside
Dropping their head and losing their pride.
The outer circle becomes too far to fear
Until the actions concluded end so severe.
The less we pick and tease
The more the world will feel at ease.
Sticks and stones
May break our bones
But words alone,
Are chiseled deep in stone.
Life is a lesson we must abide to
Not learning its true beauty until we are through
Chapter by chapter the pages turn
Tempers flare and souls burn.
Page by page the words read
Each good deed replaces a bad deed
Flipping through the pages left and right
Losing track of what's in sight.
Dealing with our ignorance is a hard topic to cope
All it takes is courage and an ounce of hope
To those out there
To the ones who care
Touch one person's life is all I ask
Is that such a hard and difficult task?
I have been through this all
I have risked everything, only to watch it fall.
Everyone who dares, walk a day in another's shoes
See how much you win; see how much you lose.
Then, and only then, may we finally understand
That all we need is a helping hand.
The pain we must bear
Balances out with the love we share

An adequate and truthful tale of our sad..sad world...a nice poem though.....but I doubt your ending will make do in our reality....the world sucks...as it is.
