Blood runs down my face In perfectly formed riverlets Drinking hungrily from my wrists Feeding my lust with dying life I want to die on this night Filling my cup to overflow This hatred so dark yet beautiful A single black rose I hold One final sweet gift for you Climbing the Tower to get you Standing by your bedside I'm drenched in black blood Your green eyes flicker open In them I see that place That Sea were you are queen You rise to meet me excited Licking blood from my lips The crimson life from my fingertips Bare your neck for me to sample Pulling me to your bed in lust Try to say no try to fight For I'm sure it would be death See my fear and laugh Flash the sweetest smile As we go to where you rule The Sea in turmoil it's me here On this night lovers will Commit suicide together This night when we The Crimson King and the Dark Queen Consumate to end all light

Although this poem was dark & mysterious, it echoes with a deep seeded pain. I kept seeing a moth to a flame in my mind. Sex and temptation, sacrifices and offerings, a consumation and ending.
I have no real idea what you mean in this poem per se but I know that it is a masterpiece and mystically enjoyable to read.
Well done Cobalt, again!!

I only hope that you read this.
Eat me!
Your pathetic opinion was duly noted and ignored.
Thanks,

Anonymous, hon, --and yes, dammit, I'm condescending to you-- when will you figure out that in inability to comprehend literature with depth, nine times out of ten the fault lies with not the poet but the reader? In shorter, simpler words so you can understand them, you fool, it's not Cobalt's fault if you're too stupid to understand his work. Understand?
And Jeff, nice job. I rather like this one . . .

I'd say you've become the master of the dark write Jeff. I am sure that 1 star was supposed to be a 10, the poor schmuck just got confused I guess. :oP
Very well done
