They are the poor and needy
those big brothers and sisters
in want of love, care and safety
in want of you, me and us
in want of clothes, food and cover
Ohoo how good they will be
if only we can heal their want
oh how praised God will feel
the hour when we give to them
our smiles, our blinks and love
they drown in the sea of lack
a true dime can make their shore
a straw plate can feed them all
they have neither plate nor dime
they drown in the waters of want
What love it will be to them
what love it will bring to us
when we give to quench their taste
when we give to shade their head
from the scourge of their painful life
if we can recycle this world
we must learn to live to give
we must show love to them all
they who need you and me
they are they whom we must give

| Hmmm, two songs in a row I'll have to write one soon. When I started writing poetry in 2000 I wanted to write gospel songs instead. I ended up writing poetry.Maybe some day. comment one of mine please. |
