Array ( [sid] => 3645 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Nan`s Cupboard [time] => 2002-09-10 21:14:57 [hometext] => frightened the life out of me for most of my childhood. [bodytext] => It stood at the top of Nanas stairs
I think I was three or four
and all the day I worried
what lived behind the door

Was it A hideous monster
OR an evil witch`s cat
A spider the size of a cushion
or a blood sucking vampire bat

A sleleton might stick his foot out
on purpose to make me trip
or there could be an alien from outer space
who would take me up in his ship

But alas, Nans toilet was upstairs
and the cupboard just had to be passed
so I used to turn every light on
and run up the stairs very fast.

The coming down was a nightmare
they might always spring an attack
you had to be prepared for anything
like the knives they stick in your back

Of course after 30 years had passed by
the cupbaord, not frightening, looks small
but just incase, well you never know.....
I run like the wind down the hall.
