Been walking outside,
wind blowing gently.
The smell of Earth,
relaxes me more.

Walking slowly, I
took a deep breath.
Was worth it, I thought,
after having been inside
a stuffy school all day.

I climbed over the gate,
and jumped down, trying to
balance myself with my boots.
Just about fell, and took in a deep breath.

Earth's scent came to me again,
and I grinned slightly.
It was gonna rain.
I didn't care.

Winter often doesn't allow
me these chances.
Cold winds, sometimes hard to breathe,
in the pasture lays wild coyotes.

I'm not worried about 'em though.
Sunny's up near the corn crib,
and I know that she wants hay.
Got her head stuck under the door.

Springs coming, I think,
as I laugh and push her out of the way.
I climb up, rolling my eyes at the playful horse.
Wanting that hay, more like, already eating it before I get it out.

I grab a little of it for the goats,
the trouble makers.
Athena got out of the gate today,
Had to chase her all over the place.

Now, since the goats and horse are munching on hay,
I sit down like I orginally was going to.
Near where Sunny's eating her hay,
she doesn't mind my company; just snorts at me.

I laugh, leaning against the corn crib.
Away from the fence, goats might try
eating my hair again. Now that I'm
sitting on the ground, I kick off my boots.

I ought to do this more often.
Sky's getting cloudier,
but I don't mind it.
Love it, more like.

The wind picks up my
defiant hair, throwing it in my face.
I don't mind that either.
Feels nice, blowing on my face.

Rex escaped from the yard again.
The pup runs as hard as he can towards me,
annoying Sunny, but she don't mind him s'long as he don't bug her.
I laugh when he bounds into my lap.

I pet him absentmindedly,
watching the birds up in the sky.
One lands not too far away from me,
and I just watch the red bird.

Yeah, I should come out more often.
I've not done anything like this for a long time.
Every now and then I do, it's so sublime.
Nah, I'm going come outside tomorrow.

I like seeing Nature's clouds all in a row...
it's earthy winds playing with my senses.

Such a lovely write I could feel the wind too, and see all the animals playing about. What a lovely picture you painted of life in the country. And yes you should get out and do that more often.

hugs
merry

SOUNDS LIKE YOU ENJOY NATURE,A VERY
THING ABOUT A PERSON IN DEED! AT LEAST YOU DON'T TAKE IT FOR GRANTED,INSTEAD YOU CHERISH IT WITH YOUR HEART,THE SAME PLACE THAT MAKES YOU WRITE NICE POETRY!!

It seems like such a happy and cheery write. Like you have no care in the world except for catching that earthy wind. Wonderful write that really inspires my to go outside and smell the air.

kisses,
