[hometext] => I wrote this on what it's like to take a leap of faith and do something you might regret later....
[bodytext] => Choices made and then forgotten At a long ago time and place Deep emotions run under the surface But diminish at the sight of another face Inner secrets and fear hidden Deciding not to show what we feel Too many questions remain unanswered And we’re left to wonder if it could be real Words, words, have no meaning With no face to tie them to Hoping and wondering who I can trust A question to be asked when I get my cue Take the chance—it’d be my choice And in the end how will it be? A pain too hard for words to comprehend, Or a joy that will echo within me? I wouldn’t mind taking this leap of faith If our doubt weren’t leaving us blinded But uncertainty runs too far, too deep For me to be that simple-minded Maybe this is just what I need Nothing too close and binding No souls that share too much between Or a love to keep me from what I’m finding No one to stop me but myself Yet I think far too much Advice with warning from distant friends Has left me wanting to get close enough to touch A choice, waiting anxiously in my hands I try to push it aside for another day But colliding forces meet through precise actions And make me face what I’m meant to say Incidental happenings and long regretted mistakes Decisions made long ago Effect our lives until the end And when we’re gone, what’s there left to show? My choice, so small and insignificant May seem an unimportant thing, But it could effect who I am for life And leave its scars or a beautiful sting Tomorrow’s destiny is up to me And though it may not matter when I’m grown It’s all I can think about today and now And when the moment comes—the choice will be my own.
