Your little lungs struggled to grasp air,
But I knew in my heart God was there,
Your little head was all black and blue,
and all I could think is what did I do
You fought so hard and with so much strength,
Which was amazing for your little length
When you look up at me my heart seems to melt,
I never knew this is how it felt
To have an angel in my arms that i will hold so tight,
To have an angel in my arms who will make it alright
Your mommys little soldier for putting up a fight,
Your mommys little miracle for showing me the light

I knew from the first time our eyes met,
That you werent given up yet
Your little lungs struggled to grasp air,
But I knew in my heart God was there,
Your little head was all black and blue,
and all I could think is what did I do
You fought so hard and with so much strength,
Which was amazing for your little length
When you look up at me my heart seems to melt,
I never knew this is how it felt
