there is not a day
that goes by that i don't think of you remembering all the
good times we shared and the sorrowful ones you helped
to see me through
i know that you're in heaven because there is no other place
someone as beautiful as you could be
just to gaze into your soulful eyes was such a precious thing
sometimes, i feel your spirit lurking in places we have been
and i'm grateful when i feel you near as your comforting smile draws near
sometimes when i dream
you're still here with me
so clear it almost seems real
you were so very special to me
it's not so much i'm grieving
i am merely missing you thinking fond thoughts of you for you see there's a special place in my heart where our treasured memories will always be

| Awww this brought tears to my eyes. My heart goes out to you. When I was growing up I had the best dog and I loved him so much. He had a zillion i.d. tags on him because I feared losing him. One day he just disappeared and I frantically searched for him. You can love an animal so much that it really hurts when they die or disappear. Now I have two dogs that I love very much and cannot imagine life without them. They do stay in your heart and this poem was incredible and went straight to my heart. Kie |
