But I saw you today.
You looked like an angel.
Even from so far away.
You were at work.
I made a stop across the street.
I looked through the window.
My heart skipped a beat.
It feels like forever,
Since my eyes have fixed on you.
I knew at that moment,
My love was still true.
I wanted to stop by.
Then confusion set in.
I wouldn’t know what to say.
Or even where to begin.
I stood there, frozen.
How long, I don’t know.
I didn’t want you to see me.
So, I felt I should go.
You looked so beautiful.
It was nice to see you again.
I thought of the good times.
Memories, of us and then.
You didn’t see me,
But today I saw you.
And I was happy again,
For a moment or two.

maybe she is watching you too. Take the plunge and just say hello, who knows what might go on from there....go on.

Such a gentle write, I loved it.

Pen.

She really has no clue does she? How lucky she is, I mean. I have looked and looked and looked, but I've never found anyone that cares half that much... it's a rare find indeed. But then again, I remember that poem you wrote about Hearts in Boxes.... and I wonder if maybe she does know after all... it will get better, the pain... in time... *Hug*

Hey Gin, thanks for the comment. As far as my poem, "The Heart Collector" goes, it was based on truth and actual events, but it was blurred by anger and frustration. I wrote that like two days after it was "over." It was kind of a way to vent I guess. Where she does keep these boxes of memories, she's not someone who would put someone she cared about through all that just for "fun" (for lack of a better word). As you see in that peom, even as angry as I was/am I still spoke about how much I loved her and what a beautiful soul she is.
Anyway, I think she does know how lucky she is... and that may just be the problem all in itself. To have someone who loves you so much and would treat you the way you've always wanted to be treated, is what actually scares her so much (One of many theories of mine). What would happen if it didn't work? Where would she be left? What if it turns out that everything she's always wanted and found in me was only an illusion? What if this true love wasn't really true or love for that matter. It's all the "What if's" that keep us apart and I can't free her of those what if's. I tried to replace them with good "What if's", like what if this is all it seems, what if we are meant to be, what if this is true love, etc. etc. But I guess they didn't take. The "What if's" are what make me miserable.
What if, she takes the chance and her dream turns into a nightmare? At least if she never takes the chance, her dream won't suffer... but it will always remain just a dream.

Now that I've babbled endlessly... I'm gonna cut myself off, because I could go on forever.

Thank you for your faithful reading of my work Gin. Your kind comments motivate me to continue sharing.

Curtis

Curtis,
Great poem. That was beautiful. I am sure she is nervous to see you she just needs time to come around. Just wait for this Friday and I have a feeling things may be better. Until then, adios.
