Life had been in color
the sunshine was bright
no clouds floating in the sky
green grass beneath ones feet
birds singing in the tree..
The switch of nature came on
the sun went down
the clouds came rolling in
green grass now dead
and the birds are dead.
The words were spoken
the heart broke
tears rolled down
another person took its place.
the coffin on the ground
the hole now dug
the preacher now said
the final words.
the coffin is being placed
the dirt on top
the people go their ways
and they dont give up.
Their life continues
no one cares
they walk away
while the body lies there.
memories will linger
thoughts will fade
as the one they put
in that grave.
new light shines in
the smile on their face
everything is alright again
the dead one is alive again
and in a happy place.
