Array ( [sid] => 39272 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Heart Of A Poet's Soul [time] => 2004-03-19 00:28:56 [hometext] => Came to me as I read the header *A Poet's Soul* and thought hey that would make a great working title for a poem... but when I got to writing it all down... *The Heart of A Poet's Soul* is what I found... [bodytext] => There's a quiet beauty from within
That's like a quiet wind
Whispering softly throughout the prose
It's so simple... it's indescribable
And sometimes hard to comprehend
There's a love hidden here too
For the simple things in life
Those little hidden truths
Found hiding within a smile or someone's beautiful eyes
That will illuminate the darkest of nights
Or let you glimpse God's glorious light

A poet's search for the perfect words
Can lead them on a journey through time
Searching for the perfect word
To leave a poetic footprint behind
On the heart of some unsuspecting soul
A poet's words can come and quickly go
Leaving the reader never quite the same
As little pieces of the poet's soul
The reader takes with him

Some things the poet writes
Can bring tears to your eyes
For these simple words are honest and true
It's like giving away an inner thought...
A private message just for you

Just sit here and listen in the quiet of the garden
That's in the middle of the heart of a poet's soul
And you'll see and hear things
You've never seen or heard before...
A magical beauty awaits queitly
While turning tiny delicate buds into blossoms
Shining and exquisite in the morning glow
You'll find all this beauty and more
In the heart of a poet's soul

Bravo! Now that was beautiful! You really do have a poet's soul. Wish I could write so beautifully!
