(aka DYMOND) [time] => 2004-03-21 08:36:59 [hometext] => THIS IS ABOUT MY GRAND DAUGHTER WHO BRINGS SO MUCH LIFE, LOVE, AND JOY TO MY HEART...SHE IS EVERYTHING TO ME...THIS IS MY ODE TO TAPPA D. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY.. [bodytext] => I have a grand baby that I love and adore,
she is my heart, my core.
She's as busy as any 3 yr old can be,
and often drives me crazy.
But what would I do without the patter of her little feet,
it's her silly ways that make me complete.
She walks around like she runs the place,
and is always kissing me in my face.
Trying to do everything on her own,
I swear sometimes she thinks she's grown.
Cartoons cartoons all day with no end,
and when I change it she says "I'm not your friend".
She can't sleep good without sleeping in my bed,
I tell her old story book stories that I once read.
I taught her to say her prayers at night,
and she will correct me if I don't say them just right.
She likes dressing herself and that's funny to me,
she always puts on the first thing she sees.
She goes to the potty and want's me to stand on the bottom step.
And next thing I hear ",maw-maw I need help.
Watching disney movies is her thing,
and it's funny when she also tries to sing.
Her being in my life has changed some things in me,
not just my priorities, I'm more humble than I use to be.
The whole house has life when she's around,
and when it's quiet I find myself listening for her sound.
Even son is attached to her in his own way,
but she bugs him when he's not in the mood to play.
Running around the house making messes and spilling things,
those are just some of the "joys"(smile) she brings
when nephew cleans and she makes a mess,
I just laugh cos his eyes show his stress.
He hasn't quite adjusted to her fiesty little way,
but he might as well now that he's here to stay.
I like just sitting sometimes and watching her play,
especially when she tries to dance but it looks like ballet.
Those are just some of the things about my little tappa d.
the things that endear her to me.
