I have achieved, I’ve had a blast,
But I would like not to quite have finished
My flame though lit is now diminished.

I am the man who drinks in cafes
Writing what I see in alleyways.
I would like to know a lot more beside
My body belies me I’m a fertile mind.

I walk in slow motion through the town,
Where once I laughed and played the clown,
The wall where I had my first romancing,
I shed a tear where I used to go dancing.

I reach a canal bridge and hum a tune,
By The Waterboys, “The Whole Of The Moon”.
It seems so apt, my eyes wide open,
All those emotions left unspoken.

I am the man who remembers the sun,
Those summer evenings full of fun.
So far away, so long ago,
Its just not right I feel so low.

I go back home through the rain,
Washing away some of the pain.
And call a friend but she’s not home
I am the man who lives alone….

But .... as the song say's.... You did it your way.
Regrets there may be a few . Very emotional to read as other's can relate to "Alone"
