Everybody thinks that I'm so damn naive.
I wish they'd see me for who am
A gentle, caring young man.
I been through Hell and felt the fire
On the wings of angels I've flown higher.
Few people really know me,
Though everyone thinks they can see
Exactly what is in my soul
Things about me that even I do not know.
I just wish I could fly away
And get away from all this pain.
Another life I want to live
One where there's more for me to give.
But since I'm so naive
I guess I'm destined to be
A desolate, dishearted chum
Never to feel true love. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 371 [topic] => 25 [informant] => Chicken [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

i know exactly how you feel I am 22 years old and everyone I know seems to think I am naive and that they know more about me than even I know about me sometimes people assume too much..you're not naive and love will find you probably at the most inoportune time too....just keep your hopes and dreams alive....

it will always be, someday, you also will say this, when a time will come, as maturity arises with a family and age. Being Naive, is ok, by the way. there is a difference then being stupid. AS to which at my jobsite, its such an addiction of the later, I wish I could say they were NAIVE!! :) I like to think when someone says this to me, and I am almost into the 40 bracket, I say, thank you, and perhaps a learning experience. Its not saying you don't have any experience and or your emotions not played, its an experence not yet played for you at that time. EAch and everyone one of us, have a different aspect of what we consider Naive, for me, its not a bad thing at all. For many have taken advantage of that, and use it. Try not to think of it as a bad thing and be offended. Look at the people who say this, and if they are people you care about, and the meaning of Naive, is well intended and caring, for many of them, wish they were back to that notion, instead of having the experience they do and have wittnessed. WE can always learn something, even if we have already experienced it. Doing it again, will gain more experience and also perhaps, more in elder respect and maturity. This is not a bad thing. Your time will come, a day when you will say the same thing to a young chap or lass and perhaps from your lessons, say it so with softer emotion, knowing that they just need to be reconized too for thier life's work, gaining the exp., respect and maturity to thier lives too.
good write, but don't be offended, its really not a bad thing at all.
AMber Rose :)
