Nobody gives even a passing glance
but i see everyone.

Whatching as people walk bye,
seeing them as they claim to be so much more,
covering themselves like little scared mice.

Why are we all so afraid of showing ourselves?
are we afraid to show are true selves to others?
or do we just like to inflate our baloons of
our ego?

But underneath we must all surely be
Something truly better.
Why dont we just show ourselves to the world
and let the world embrace us
as we embrace the world.

let us just enojoy ourselves so that others may enjoy the truth of our souls. Sometimes we look to hard. This has a good message and a lot of meaningful questions. Truth like beauty in often in the eye of the beholder. Nice thought process in this poem, and only needs a touch up on the spelling. I did enjoy.

Quanit and nice message here...but I doubt you will find those who would be willing to follow through...the world is made up of layers and quite frankly I too an many layered and I think it is necessary to survive like this... brutal honesty and stark truth is not really a pill that many people can handle... besides what fun would that be. We are naturally made of layers anyway....ID EGO and SUPEREGO.......just be natural man. Rather nice poetic delivery though. Okay write!

This is weird since whenever I stop at a red light in my car(and those times I'm not singing)I like to just look at people and I vision it quite the same as you.I'm always thinking to myself how people seem to act in a way in accordance to others....Anyhow,well done and your last verse was very well said !
